FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, specifically to methods of forming an insulated electrical conductor and a method of forming an electrical coil. Method of forming an insulated electrical conductor includes forming a copper core and a metal layer thereon, by wrapping the core, wherein the metal is selected from the group consisting of aluminium, titanium, zinc and magnesium, after which the copper core coated with a metal, is wound on a coil and anodised to form a dielectric layer of metal providing electrically insulating properties. Also, the anodised conductor is washed to remove residual electrolyte material and annealed. Electric coil formed in accordance with the proposed method can be used in electric motors, electromagnets, alternators and subsystems for same.
EFFECT: proposed method reduces or completely eliminates microcracks in the oxide layer, which is the technical result of the invention.
