FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pharmacy. There is disclosed method of blood analysis for 5-fluorouracil content. Said method consists in water-bath extraction 0.1M in dissolved hydrochloric acid in a refluxing round-bottom flask within 1 hour. The extract is cooled, centrifuged at 5000 rpm within 15 minutes and filtered. The filtrate is chromatographed in aluminium columns of height 10 cm and diametre 0.7 cm within 5-6 hours. In a spectrophotometer, the eluate is analysed for 5-fluorouracil with maximum absorption 200 to 350 nm at wavelength 266 nm in UV spectrum. The quantitative content of 5-fluorouracil is calculated by formula: where: C is concentration of the substance, %; D is optical density; b is dilution; E1%cv is a specific absorption; a is blood volume, ml.

EFFECT: enabled qualitative and quantitative blood analysis for 5-fluorouracil content for intratherapeutic control.
