FIELD: physics, measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to radiation engineering and may be used for control of stability or compliance with standard of configuration of several sources of n,y-radiation, more precisely, spent fuel assemblies (SFE), which are installed in closed volumes without direct access to content of this volume. The first measurement of n-γ radiation in control points is controlled visually. Readings of n-y radiations in the first control point are registered, turn angle is memorised, detector is turned stepwise into the following control points. Standard radiation pattern is made and memorised, patterns are compared to it in the process of control. In process of control measurement is started in arbitrary point. Specified operations are repeated. Radiation patterns are produced from each unit detector, correction for storage is introduced, compared to standard, conclusion is made about compliance of control pattern with the standard one. In device detector and detection unit are connected by cable, and in detection unit neutron and gamma detectors are fixed on rigid arched structure. Perimetre of cross section of closed volume is multiple to distance between extreme detectors in structure.
EFFECT: provision of measurement results independent on corrosion processes, reduced number of used detectors, accounting of ionising radiation sources activity variation in time.
