SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fret for string musical instruments, which is stationary fixed in string musical instrument neck, has seats for each string, wherein material of fret is magnetic alloy, allowing to draw and retain metal strings in seats.
EFFECT: technical result consists in long-term preservation of tuning and increasing durability of strings, as well as possibility not to use clamp strings to fret, with straight position of strings from back fret to point of contact with axis of peg.
