SUBSTANCE: invention relates to semiconductor electronics and can be used for making high-efficiency broad-band converters of electromagnetic radiation of the visible and invisible range. According to the invention, the electromagnetic radiation converter has collecting regions with first and second conductivity type, as well as first and second electrodes connected to these regions. The converter has N≥1 collecting regions with first conductivity type, situated at the front of a semiconductor substrate with second conductivity type with formation of N p-n junctions. The first electrode is connected to the said N collecting regions with first conductivity type, forming a current branching point. The front of the substrate has at least one section with second conductivity type, adjacent to the zone where there are N≥1 collecting regions with first conductivity types.
EFFECT: operation of the converter in a wider frequency range of electromagnetic radiation, increased efficiency and power of the converter, as well as high accuracy and stability of its output characteristics.
