FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: offered invention concerns medicine, namely neurology and occupational pathology, and can be used for differential diagnostics of vibratory polyneuropathy and diabetic polyneuropathy. With using an algometer, a patient is examined for pain sensitivity on various body areas: projected zygomatic bone, breast bone, projected elbow, second finger phalanx, shin bone tubercle, projected medial malleolus, and great toe. If algesimetry data exceed 0.5 mm in all the analysed body points, vibratory polyneuropathy is diagnosed, while diabetic polyneuropathy is shown by the algesimetry data increased in leg area only.
EFFECT: method allows improving accuracy of differential diagnostics.
