FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: offered invention concerns medicine, namely neurology and can be used for differential diagnostics of vibratory polyneuropathy and diabetic polyneuropathy. A patient is examined for pain sensitivity on various body areas at frequencies 125 Hz and 250 Hz: projected zygomatic bone, breast bone, projected elbow, second finger phalanx, shin bone tubercle, projected medial malleolus, and great toe. A uniform suppression of vibrating sensitivity in all the analysed body points, vibratory polyneuropathy is diagnosed, while diabetic polyneuropathy is shown by prevailing more evident changes within legs.
EFFECT: allows improving accuracy of differential diagnostics of vibratory polyneuropathy and diabetic polyneuropathy.
