FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns ophthalmology. An intraocular lens comprises an optical part made of rigid material, and a haptic part made of flexible material, in the form of loopy arches provided with locating fixtures within attachment of loops in eye membranes. The method to install the intraocular lens fixed in ciliary sulcus implies implantation of said intraocular lens through surgical incision in posterior chamber. Prior to the implantation of intraocular lens from one and opposite side of posterior chamber within fixation area of the intraocular lens in ciliary sulcus, endoscope-assisted hollow needles of internal diametre matched with that of the lens locating fixture are delivered in parallel to iris plane. A point of each needle is delivered through sclera and conjunctiva onto the eye surface so that a face end of each needle is arranged in posterior chamber. The intraocular lens is implanted with its optical part being folded double. After the implantation of intraocular lens in anterior chamber, the locating fixtures are consistently brought in the needle cavity. Thereafter needles are removed with the locating fixtures kept in ciliary sulcus and sclera.
EFFECT: application of the present intraocular lens and method of installation thereof allows for sutureless installation of the lens fixed in ciliary sulcus and sclera.
