FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: using a three-phase arc, burning between two non-consumable electrodes and an object, metal is melted while putting into the formed molten bath filler wire, connected to the middle phase of the three-phase arc power supply. During weld deposition, the distance from the end of the filler wire to the axis of the burner is kept at 8-10 mm, which provides for the required concentration level of heat energy coming into the molten bath from the arc so as to obtain minimum depth of fusion.
EFFECT: improved quality of weld deposition, due to reduced thermal effect on the base metal, reduction of its depth of fusion with simultaneous increase in thickness of the weld pad.
