FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes applying of the lower layer consisting from nitride or carbonitride of the titanium, silicon and aluminium at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 86.0-87.3, silicon 0.7-1.0, aluminium 12.0-13.0, intermediate layer consisting of from nitride or carbonitride of titanium, silicon, zirconium and aluminium compound at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 74.0-76.2, silicon 0.5-0.6, zirconium 15.3-16.7, aluminium 8.0-8.7, upper layer consisting of nitride or carbonitride compound titanium, silicon and zirconium at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 74.1-76.3, silicon 0.7-0.9, zirconium 23.0-25.0. Three cathodes positioned horizontally in one plane are used. The first cathode is made composite from titanium and aluminium, the second one is made composite from titanium and zirconium and is positioned opposite to the first and the third one is made from titanium and silicon alloy and is positioned between them.
EFFECT: workability enhancing of the cutting tools.
