FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine production and can be used in converting ICE, mainly two-stroke and diesel engines, at lower costs. Proposed method consists in that the crankshaft is replaced with shaft furnished with gear wheel to come into mesh with toothed racks of pistons. Wedge-like spacers are arranged between the crankcase and cylinders, the said spacers being furnished with holes for the rack to pass through and rule out its displacement relative to cylinder axis. In compliance with the second version, proposed method consists in that the crankshaft is replaced with shaft furnished with gear wheel to come into mesh with toothed racks. Wedge-like spacers are arranged between the crankcase and cylinders, the said spacers being furnished with holes for the rack with seal to pass through. Aforesaid rack represents a cylindrical tie rod. Above described arrangement allows forming a chamber between the piston and aforesaid spacer to be used as a mixing chamber.
EFFECT: reduced volume of mixing chamber, hence, higher efficiency of supercharged two-stroke engines.
