FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to cardiology. Method lies in the following: clinical examination, ECG recording, blood test, with determination of cardial enzymes, are carried out. In blood serum of patients with diagnosis myocardial infarction during first day from pain syndrome emergence additionally determined are: content of alfa-2-macroglobulin (MG) and lactoferrin (LF), diagnostic criterion is calculated by formula: C=MG×LF, where C is diagnostic criterion; MG - concentration of alfa-2-macroglobulin, g/l; LF - concentration of lactoferrin, mg/ml; and if values of K are equal 2.9 and higher presence of large-focal myocardial infarction is diagnosed, and if values are lower than 2.9 - presence of small-focal myocardial infarction is diagnosed.

EFFECT: claimed approach possesses sufficient sensitivity, specificity and allows during first day from disease beginning (from pain syndrome emergence) to determine depth of affection and institute adequate treatment.
