COSMETIC METHOD OF SUTURING CONTAMINATED OPERATION WOUND IN CASE OF APPENDECTOMY Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2368335 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urgent abdominal surgery, and can be applied in acute appendicitis surgery. Perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis with cephalosporin antibiotics of third generation is performed. After performing appendectomy and carrying out abdomen sanitisation, parietal peritoneum is sutured hermetically with absorbable suture material with time of complete absorption to 30 days. Operation wound is treated with 0.5% solution of chlorhexidine in 70% alcohol with 1-2 minute exposition. Aponeurotic part of abdominal external oblique muscle is sewn with separate interrupted sutures using monofilamentous absorbable suture material with time of complete absorption about 200 days. Skin is sewn with separate subcuticular subganglion suture with absorbable suture material with time of complete absorption to 90 days. In patients with body weight index higher than 26 and developed subcutaneous fat active aspiration from subcutaneous fat through separate counterpuncture is used.

EFFECT: method ensures simultaneously quick healing of post-operation wound tissues, reduction of post-operation complications and absence of cosmetic defects after healing.
