FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: porous synthetic coral for reconstruction of bone defects based on calcium carbonate and additive, is made from material, obtained at temperature lower than 700°C, has open porosity from 10 to 95% and contains additive of potassium carbonate and/or sodium carbonate and additive of ammonium carbonate with following ratio of components in material, wt % Calcium carbonate - 30-99 Additive - 1-70 with the following ratio of components in additive, wt %. potassium carbonate and/or sodium carbonate - 0.5-20; ammonium carbonate - 0.5-50. Method of obtaining said porous synthetic coral for reconstruction of bode defects consists in the following: additive of potassium and/or sodium carbonate is introduced into calcium carbonate with following addition of ammonium carbonate additive and burnt at temperature lower than 700°C.
EFFECT: invention ensures obtaining of artificial material based on calcium carbonate ("ИКОР") at lower temperatures of sintering and higher porosity.
