Abstract RU 2368905 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and namely to children's endocrinology and neurology. Method consists in the fact that with children and teenagers with diabetes mellitus of the 1st type, which have neurological complaints, there determined with enzyme immunodetection method is neurospecific protein (S-100B) pg/ml, vascular-endothelial growth factor (VEGF) pg/ml, brain neurotrophic factor (BNF) pg/ml in blood, and coefficient is calculated as per the formula: K=(S-100 B+VEGF)/BNF. When K values are 0.06 to 0.11, initial diabetic encephalopathy (mild severity) is diagnosed, and when K values are more than 0.11, explicit form of diabetic encephalopathy (intermediate severity) is diagnosed.

EFFECT: improving accuracy and objectivity of diabetic encephalopathy diagnostics at early stages, which gives the possibility of prescribing adequate therapy in time, thus preventing severe cerebral complications of CD.
