FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: converter of AC voltage into DC voltage, i.e. rectifier, is related to electric engineering and is necessary for supply of controlled electric motors of DC voltage. Converter of AC voltage into DC voltage comprises single-phase transformer with secondary winding sectioned into n - parts, two groups of controlled valves (thyristors and transistors) from n valves and two groups of diodes from n diodes, besides one group of n controlled valves connected serially, is connected by cathode of extreme valve to beginning of transformer secondary winding, and by anode of another extreme valve of group - to one end of load, the second group of serially connected valves is connected by anode of extreme valve to beginning of transformer secondary winding, and by cathode of another extreme valve of group - to the second end of load, besides between anodes of serially connected controlled valves of the first group and taps of sections of transformer secondary winding, there are diodes of the first additional group joined in, by cathodes to taps, also between cathodes of serially connected controlled valves of the second group and taps of sections of transformer secondary winding, there are diodes of the second additional group joined in, by anodes to taps of winding.

EFFECT: reduced values of inverse voltages in valves.
