FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: complex salt of chitosan oligomers has viscosity-average molecular weight from 1600 to 2100 Da and the following molecular-mass distribution of chitosan oligomer homologues: from 20 to 25% chitosan oligomer homologues, containing 2 to 6 repeating D-glucosamine residues; from 64 to 72% chitosan oligomer homologues, containing 7 to 12 repeating D-glucosamine residues; from 8 to 16% chitosan oligomer homologues, containing 13 to 20 repeating D-glucosamine residues. Method of obtaining the said complex salt involves formation of a chitosan solution in an aqueous solution of at least one organic acid, taken in stoichiometric amount of 23 to 115%, addition of enzymes to the obtained chitosan solution and enzymic hydrolysis of the chitosan solution until achieving dynamic viscosity of the reaction mixture, equal to 1.60-1.80 cP with formation of the end product in the solution, which is then concentrated and dried.
EFFECT: improved method of obtaining oligochitosan salts.
