FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and, particularly to engine engineering and compressor engineering and may be used for engineering four-stroke engines of internal combustion. The internal combustion engine contains horizontal cylinder (2) with piston (3), piston pin (5) and crankshaft (12) with flywheel (9). The pin (5) is hinge connected with piston and pendulum (7). By its free end, the above mentioned pendulum (7) is hinge-connected with engine unit (1) on the cylinder axis (2). The fly-wheel (9) is hinge-connected with pendulum (7). Distance from fly-wheel (10) connecting pin with pendulum to hinge (6) connecting pendulum with fly-wheel is from 0 to 0.8 of the pendulum length (7).
EFFECT: increased to four number of strokes made by piston during one revolution of crankshaft.
