FIELD: power engineering; internal combustion engines, pneumatic and electromagnetic motors. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has cylinders with pistons and rods and mechanism converting reciprocating motion of piston into rotary motion of central shaft. Mechanism is made in form of two toothed racks secured on crossmember connecting rods of all pistons and connected by connecting rods with crankshafts coupled with camshafts. Toothed racks engage with two gear wheels installed on central shaft and connected with shaft by means of overrunning clutches. One of crankshafts is mechanically coupled with central shaft overrunning clutch and mechanical drive. EFFECT: reduced consumption of energy carriers, increased power output. 2 cl, 6 dwg
