FIELD: personal demand items.

SUBSTANCE: method of processing clothes parts by means of ruches involves processing of longitudinal cuts of the ruche and its sewing to the processed parts. The right ruche side is put together with the right side of the processed part and the ruche is sewn at the distance of 0.7-1.0 cm from the processed edge of the part. Silicone edge is pre-laid along the processed edge of the part on the seamy side and fixed by means of an overlock sewing machine. The sewn ruche is turned away from the processed part by its being two-folded along the sewing line. The free end of the processed part with the laid silicone edge is folded to the seamy side and sewn by means of a two-needle machine.

EFFECT: invention provides reduction of labour input and cloth consumption, as well as improving the quality of the processed clothes.
