SUBSTANCE: turbidimetre has a measuring chamber 1, photodetector 3, emitter 4, electric drive 5, guiding device 6, rod 7, sliding window 8, displacement sensor 9, bellows 10, controller 11, ultrasonic emitter 12, sliding valves 13 with their own electric drive 14, a channel 15 for moving detergent from vessel 16 under the action of a piston 17, driven by an electric drive 18. Organisation of the purification cycle of optical elements 3 and 8 through combined action of the detergent and ultrasound in the small volume of the insulated measuring chamber 1, as well as determination of the time for switching the cleaning mechanism only when necessary, when the invariantly determined transparency of the windows of the optical elements falls below a defined limit, allows for longer time of the turbidimetre and its service life.
EFFECT: improved control of quality of water, measurement of concentration of emulsions and suspensions.
