FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and can be used to determine indications for laser diode transpupillary thermal therapy of choroid melanoma. It involves ultrasonic grey-scale V-scanning, light Doppler mapping of choroid melanoma vessels and evaluation of blood velocity therein. In addition, retinal photosensitivity is estimated within a region between choroid melanoma and the middle of retina, and in macular zone. That is followed with assaying the degree of pigmentation of choroid melanoma surface by dividing the whole area of choroid melanoma by 35 equivalent rectangular regions. Each region is analysed for the degree of pigmentation of choroid melanoma surface in percentage. Then a distance of choroid melanoma edge turned to macular zone and fovea centre. In case simultaneously and mutually retinal photosensitivity between choroid melanoma and central retina and in macular zone is 3 decibels and more; number of regions wherein the degree of pigmentation of choroid melanoma surface is 55% or more, 18 or more; distance of choroid melanoma edge turned to macular zone and fovea centre is 1 mm or more; height of choroid melanoma is 3.0 mm or less; no vessels are observed in choroid melanoma, or maximum systolic blood velocity in choroid vessels is 11.0 cm/sec or less, the laser diode transpupillary thermal therapy of choroid melanoma is considered to be indicated.
EFFECT: method allows improving accuracy of determining the indications.
