FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in order to define the optimal value of protective interval length in deployment of OFDM system, it is provided for performance of channel measurements of signal-noise ratio and profile of multipath propagation for various mutual locations of receiving and transmitting stations. Optimal value of protective interval length is defined by results of performed measurements processing. It corresponds to maximum of spectral efficiency of multi-frequency radio communication system provided that required quality of reception is maintained. Modeling demonstrated that suggested method for detection of protective interval length excels alternative methods either by spectral efficiency or by reliability of data reception.
EFFECT: improved spectral efficiency of multi-frequency radio communication system with provision of required reception quality.
