FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is use of incomplete silver salt of polyacrylic acid (argacryl) as an antitumour agent. Argacryl was used earlier as a hemostatic agent with pronounced anticeptic action. Argacryl has general formula (-CH2-CHCOOH-)n(-CH2CHOHAg-)m n=12000 to 35000; m=1650 to 6650.
EFFECT: inhibited growth of carcinoma and adenocarcinoma, as well as inhibited development of metastasis, due to argacryl was shown.
