FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of fluid systems by centrifugal forces, particularly to hydraulic cyclones to be used chemical, oil-and-gas, pulp and paper industries etc. Proposed hydraulic cyclone comprises housing, initial suspension feed branch pipe, device to withdraw clarified and thickened suspension fraction representing two coaxial horizontal disks. Lower of the latter is fitted on shaft to revolve and translate thereon, while ring-like upper one features ID equal to that thickened suspension withdrawal branch pipe and is rigidly attached to cyclone housing to form radial channel therewith. Thickened suspension withdrawal device comprises vessel rigidly fixed to aforesaid upper disk to form cylindrical chamber furnished with thickened suspension withdrawal branch pipes.
EFFECT: higher separation capacity.
