FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly in horizontal and universal stands of rolling mill for transmitting rotation from power supply source to horizontal rolls of rolling stand.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes reduction gear mounted in framework and having power source and horizontal outlet shafts; spindles and strut with lodgments. Spindles are joined by means of driving spline joints with outlet shaft of reduction gear and by means of driven spline joints with rolls of changeable rolling stand. Spindles are provided with mechanisms for moving driven spline joints. Motion mechanism has power cylinders. Each mechanism for moving driven spline joint is in the form of pneumatic cylinder mounted coaxially to spindle shaft and embracing it; base of pneumatic cylinder is arranged on driving spline joint. Hollow rod of pneumatic cylinder is joined with driven spline joint. The last may be alternatively arranged on roll of changeable rolling stand and it may be arranged with gap on working surfaces of lodgment at changing rolls of changeable rolling stand.
EFFECT: simplified design of apparatus, shortened time period and lowered labor consumption at changing rolls of rolling stand.
