FIELD: personal articles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to iron for ironing clothes and fabric. Ironing plate (4) is connected with heating elements, is made from first heat-conductive material and has lower surface (5), which lies in first plane. Larger part of lower surface (5) is covered with ironing element (7), produced from second heat-conductive material, different from first material. Ironing element (7) has ironing surface (8), which lies in second plane, mainly parallel to first plane, and projecting by defined size from lower surface (5), in such way, that ironing plate (4) has ledge (9) on perimetre of ironing element (7).
EFFECT: iron construction is described.
