FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: sealing ring for packing box is formed by means of winding of band made of foil of enhanced graphite, containing continuous grooves, located on each surface of band between grooves of countersurface of band and depth not more than half of band's thickness, and plating layer on foregoing ring, formed by band of porous polytetrafluoroethylene, spiral coiled around the mentioned above coiled ring, herewith each following spiral turn of band of porous polytetrafluoroethylene partially overlaps previous to it spiral turn. Plating of coiled ring is implemented up to its shaping in confined space at specific load from 1 up to 3 MPa. Coiled ring can be implemented of foil of enhanced graphite plated by porous polytetrafluoroethylene. Coiled ring can be implemented from band of layer-like structure, formed by two bands from foil of enhanced graphite and armored belt, located between them. In the capacity of armored belt it is used metal foil, particularly: either stainless steel, or nickel or titanium, or its alloys.
EFFECT: reliability growth of sealing.
