FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: sextant has a telescope and a triad of accelerometres, the axis of sensitivity of one of which is parallel the axis of the telesccope. In the sextant there is a unit for primary working-out the altitude of the celestial body with two outputs, an interpolation unit with two inputs and two outputs, an inverse transformation unit with two inputs, a Fourier analyser with two inputs and an adder. The accelerometres are connected to the input of the unit for primary working-out the altitude of the celestial body, the first output of which is connected to the first inputs of the interpolation unit and Fourier analyser, and the second - to the inverse transformation unit. The second output of the interpolation unit is connected to the second input of the inverse transformation unit, the output of which is connected to the second input of the interpolation unit, forming a closed loop for correcting the height of the celestial body. The output of the inverse transformation unit is also connected to the second input and through the adder to the output of the Fourier analyser, forming a loop for generating adjustments. The output of the system is the first output of the interpolator. The triad of accelerometres can be made detachable and can rotate 180° about the axis perpendicular the axis of sight.
EFFECT: simpler and cheaper sextant with more accurate and easier measurement.
