FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to computer diagnostic systems (CDS) and can be used in CDS for automatic determining of heart dimensions and position by patient's photoroentgenologic images (PRI) in reconstruction of three-dimensional heart structure. To realise the method the following actions are carried out. PRI are registered in frontal and left lateral projections. Heart contour is marked out on PRI by analysis of the image, calculation of probability values for points of image showing that given point of the image belongs to definite image sections, relates to heart, and obtaining of contour model of heart. Then created is array of contours of heart computer model projections, obtained by successive turning of model with set angle step by three axes of coordinates and superposition and matching of heart model projections with image on PRI is carried out. At the same time successive comparison of heart contours on patient's PRI and contours of different projections of heart model from created array is performed. As a result, models corresponding to frontal and left lateral photoroentgenological images and having the smallest areas of mis-match after imposing of contour images on each other, correspond to heart contours on patient's PRI most accurately, three-dimensional heart model being similar to patient's heart.

EFFECT: invention allows to automatise determination of patient's heart dimensions and position on photoroentgenological image.
