FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for active and passive radar surveillance of ground and air environment based on radar and infrared radar stations (RS, RIS) in the millimetre range. The proposed method involves formation, in each discrete moment in time for surveying a section of the surface or airspace, of a matrix of the amplitude image of the surveillance zone and a matrix of ranges in elements for discretisation of the angle of elevation and azimuth, measured in a rectangular antenna coordinate system. Operations for forming matrices are repeated in each discrete moment in time for surveying and the obtained matrices undergo space-time processing, based on transformation of coordinates, combination and averaging image frames.
EFFECT: improved quality of radar and infrared radar images.
