FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for passive radar surveillance of a surface and mobile objects on the surface based on multichannel and scanning radio-thermal locators. The method involves formation of a matrix of amplitude images of the monitored section of the surface with resolution of coordinates at discrete scanning time instants. Through re-calculation of coordinates and aligning neigbouring image frames, correlation between matrix elements is established and the distance to corresponding surface elements is measured from angles between vectors. The results are time-averaged and a three-dimensional image is obtained in form of an amplitude matrix and a matrix of heights of the surface relief.
EFFECT: formation of a three-dimensional image of a surface.
