FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical current sources, particularly to functional auxiliary systems intended for servicing fuel elements batteries. In compliance with this invention, proposed method of cleaning air of carbon dioxide via carbon dioxide adsorption by alkaline solution consists in that air is forced into decarbonisator consisting of one or more fuel elements is preliminary moistened with water heated to 50° to 90°C. Note that cleaning alkaline electrolyte of alkaline metal carbonates is effected in decarbonisator via increasing load current density hydrogen flushing intensity.
EFFECT: cleaning air of carbon dioxide with no chemical sorbents and without replacement of functional components, reduced sizes and weight.
