FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to device converting chemical energy into electric power. In compliance with proposed invention, alkaline storage battery electrode recovery is performed directly in storage battery via flushing it with water, holding in aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid with concentration of 0.3% to 3.0% for 20 to 30 minutes. Thereafter, electrodes are held in alkaline electrolyte for 2 to 4 hours, and storage battery is charged as follows, i.e. charging by current of (0.6 to 1.0) C for (1.0 to 1.5) hours till voltage of (1.60 to 1.65) V; discharging by current of 0.2 C till voltage of (0.0 to 0.2)V. Charging/discharging cycles are regained 3 to 12 times.
EFFECT: simplified recovery, ease of recovery, higher safety, longer life.
