FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood processing equipment. The sawing machine comprises a basic vertical shaft mounted in the plane perpendicular to the sawing direction on the one side of the processed workpiece central axis with a drive and at least one disc saw element mounted on the shaft. The shaft can travel along the processed workpiece. The sawing machine is equipped by an additional shaft mounted in the plane parallel to the basic shaft plane on the other side of the processed workpiece central axis with a drive and at least one disc saw element fixed on it; the disc saw elements of the basic and additional shafts which are set on different sides of the workpiece central axis can travel pairwise in one of the sawing planes.
EFFECT: increased speed of logs sawing.
