SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas turbine locomotive running on liquefied natural gas. Proposed gas turbine locomotive comprises housing accommodating principal power plant represented by gas turbine engine with its shaft coupled with electric generator, and auxiliary diesel. Note here that gas turbine engine is mounted vertically. Principal power plant comprises turbo compressor with housing, compressor, combustion chamber with its outlet communicated, via gas passage, with turbine and jet nozzle. Birotary compressor consists of two turbo compressors running in opposite directions and having shafts supporting compressor impellers and turbine wheels. One shaft of principal power plant is linked, via transmission, with auxiliary diesel. Outer housing is arranged concentric relative to turbo compressor shafts. Jet nozzle communicates with outer housing and locomotive housing roof. Combustion chamber is attached to outer housing.

EFFECT: higher reliability, reduced weight and sizes.
