FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas turbine production and can be used in automatic control systems (ACS) of gas turbine engines (GTE) with free turbines incorporated with gas turbine units (GTU) to drive electric generators (EG) of gas turbine electric stations (GTES). Invention differs from known methods in that, on connecting GTES into unlimited-power circuit, preset RPM (setting) of GTU free turbine is additionally increased by not over 4% via increase in fuel consumption. GTU operating conditions are set whereat measured RPM of free turbine equals aforesaid setting. GTU available output is calculated in delay time determined experimentally and sufficient for GTU reach preset operating conditions. Obtained output is compared with that preset of GTES in operation with unlimited power circuit and preset RPM of free turbine is decreased to initial RPM at the rate proportional to departure of available output from preset magnitude but not exceeding preset limit for this type of GTES defined experimentally and refined in acceptance tests of GTES.
