FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electronic hydro mechanical automatic control systems (ACS) of gas turbine engines (GTE). In addition, gas temperature change speed after compressor turbine and rotation frequency of rotor of turbo-compressor is controlled, if gas temperature increase speed is higher than the first pre-set value and rotation frequency decrease speed of turbo-compressor rotor is below the second pre-set value during pre-set time interval determined by calculation-experimental method and specified during GTU operation, "HP compressor failure" signal is shaped and GTU start is stopped. GTU operation is prevented in abnormal modes of compressor owing to higher ACS operating efficiency, which allows avoiding GTU turbine overheating, and as a result, improves GTU operating reliability.
EFFECT: higher GTU operating reliability.
