FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of a sorbent and an aluminium (III) solution, extraction of aluminium (III) from the solution using the sorbent and turning it into a complex compound on the sorbent surface, measurement of luminescence intensity of the surface aluminium (III) complex and determination of aluminium (III) content. The sorbent used is silica, which is pre-modified with polyhexamethylene guanidine and 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid, and luminescence intensity is measured at 480 nm.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity and information content, simpler and faster analysis.
