FIELD: sampling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring concentration of radionuclides in gas streams and atmospheric air, in particular to a method for sampling tritiated water from a gaseous medium, and can be used in making industrial tritium samplers. Method is a multiple repetition of a process of phase isotopic exchange in a counterflow column filled with a spiral-prismatic nozzle comprising not less than 3.6 theoretical separation stages, between the gas stream containing the tritiated water pairs, which is supplied from the bottom of the column, and the liquid stream of water of natural isotopic composition, which is supplied from above the column, wherein the liquid sample for analysis containing tritium is taken from the lower part of the column.

EFFECT: invention provides considerable reduction of sampling time and enables rapid monitoring of dynamics of change in concentration of tritium in gaseous media.
