FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method is described for producing polymer petroleum resins, involving polymerisation of unsaturated compounds of the fraction of liquid products of pyrolysis of straight run benzene with boiling range from 130 to 190°C in the presence of catalyst systems: titanium tetrachloride and an organoaluminium compound in molar ratios: TiCl4 : Al(C2H5)2Cl = 1 : (0.1 - 3.0); TiCl4 : Al(C2H5)3 = 1 : (0.1 - 3.0); TiCl4 : Al(iso-C4H9)3 = 1 : (0.1 - 3.0). The method is distinguished by that, the catalyst is successively deactivated with 1,2-epoxy-compounds of general formula where R=CH3, C2H5, C3H7, C6H5, CH2-O-R', where R'=CnH2n+1 (n=1-3); C6H5-R", where R"=H, CH3, C2H5, epoxy-diane resins of general formula: , where n=0-3, with content of epoxy groups from 10.0 to 22.5%, taken in molar ratio: epoxy-diane resin : 1,2-epoxy-compound, equal to 1.0-1.25 : 1.0-1.5, where total amount of epoxy equivalents is equal to the total number of chlorine atoms and alkyl substitutes with aluminium and titanium atoms in the selected catalyst system. The deactivation products remain the composition of polymer petroleum resins.
EFFECT: simpler technology, improved environmental friendliness of the process.
