FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method of producing polymeric petroleum resins which involves polymerisation of unsaturated compounds of the fraction of liquid products of pyrolysis of straight-run petrol with boiling range of 130-190°C in the presence of a catalytic complex of AlCl3:C1-C5 alcohol:C2-C5 carbonyl compound:water in molar ratio equal to 10.0-98.0:0.9-5.2:1.7-7.0:1.0,characterised by that, the catalyst is deactivated with triglycidyl ethers of polyoxypropylenetriols manufactured under the Laproxide 603 and Laproxide 703 brands, having general formula: where a, b, c=1-3, with molecular weight 434-782, taken in equimolar ratio to 100% AlCl3 in the catalytic complex, which corresponds to an equimolar amount of epoxide groups to the amount of Cl to aluminium. The deactivation products remain in the polymeric petroleum resin.
EFFECT: improved environmental friendliness of the process of producing polymeric petroleum resins, elimination of the explosion hazard and inflammation during deactivation of components of the catalytic complex.
