FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an antioxidant composition for stabilising inedible organic materials (versions) and to a method of stabilising inedible organic materials using this composition. In one version the antioxidant composition is a synergetic mixture of antioxidants, which contains a phenol compound. The composition contains an anionic surface active compound of formula R-OSO3M, where R - alkylC6-C16, M - Na or K, or of formula (RO)2P(OH)O, where R - alkylC6-C16, or formula (RO)3PO, where R - alkylC6-C16, and a phenol compound - phenol, selected from: unsubstituted phenol, 6-hydroxydihydroquinoline, 8-hydroxytetrahydroquinoline, with mass ratio phenol : surface active compound not less than a/2, where a is a coefficient which characterises relative inhibition capacity of phenol, calculated using formula: a=k0/ki, where k0 - is the ideal averaged reaction constant of phenol antioxidants with peroxide radicals, equal to 104(M·s)-1; ki - is the reaction constant of phenol with peroxide radicals in (M·s)-1.
EFFECT: maximum efficient stabilisation of inedible organic materials from oxidative decomposition.
