SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a wireless communication system. The method of controlling user equipment (UE), which has at least one upper level which lies above the radio resource control (RRC) level, in which UE can receive a multiaddress service and reassign a cell in a wireless communication system, involves reception a connection establishment parametre from the upper level. The method also involves transmission of a request into the network for establishing a RRC-connection and determination, at the RRC control level after reassignment of the cell, of whether the procedure of establishing a RRC-connection with the network should be continued, based on results of the said determination. The procedure of establishing a RRC-connection can be stopped if the connection establishment parametre indicates a multiaddress service.
EFFECT: prevention of unnecessary transmission of messages with a request for establishing a RRC-connection with the aim of preventing overloading of the common up-link, as well as prevention of wasting radio resources with the aim of saving energy of the battery of the user equipment (UE) when establishing a RRC-connection.
