FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making magnetic and electromagnetic shields for shielding from magnetic fields at industrial frequency and electromagnetic fields in the radiofrequency range and can be used to provide for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of equipment in different industries, as well as for designing systems for protecting biological objects. The outcome is achieved due to that, a band of amorphous soft magnetic alloy is placed between two dielectric films with overlapping of not less than thickness of the tape. The assembly is then moulded using a laminator, where moulding temperature should be sufficient for double-sided attachment of the dielectric film with the metal band, but should not exceed decomposition temperature of the amorphous structure in the soft magnetic alloy.
EFFECT: due to 100% continuity, the finished material has shielding coefficient of not less than 200 and coefficient of attenuating electromagnetic energy of up to 10 dB/mm in the frequency range from 1 MHz to 40 GHz.
