FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: overheated melt is poured into mould, in which it is implemented evenvolumetric cooling of melt at a rate not higher than 0.5°C/s. Cast is formed in uneven force field. Force field is created by means of overlay of ultrasonic vibrations, focused in local area of melt. In this area it is formed increased pressure with formation of solidification center. Direction of solid-melt interface is passed from increased pressure to periphery of cast. Value of cast overheating is selected from condition of providing of lifetime of liquid phase, enough for completing of directional crystallisation of melt.
EFFECT: achieved increasing of strength properties and isotropy of cast properties.
