FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to process engineering and can be used to produce pipe insulation. Device to produce tubular section from mineral wool comprises a core and outer roller assembly surrounding said core. Note here that said roller assembly comprises at least two adjustable rollers allowing preset-length mineral wool mat to be wound about the core, between the latter and roller assembly to make tubular section preform. Note here that one end of said core is free to allow removing tubular section therefrom. Proposed device comprises tubular section preform hardening device. Note also that at least a part of the core is threaded to allow removing hardened tubular section due to rotation of said threaded part and that of roller assembly rollers.
EFFECT: simple device and process.
