SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an insulated pipe assembly, as well as to a method for insulating a pipe. To improve the insulating properties of the pipe, the insulated pipe unit contains necessary first insulating element (3), supporting means (5), second insulating element (4). First insulating element (3) is located on pipe (2) to form the inner insulating layer around pipe (2), first insulating element (3) contains mineral wool. Supporting means (5) is located on pipe (2) and adjacent to first insulating element (3). Second insulating element (4), which forms the outer insulating layer around the inner insulating layer, is located on and supported by supporting means (5) located on pipe (2). Adjacent second insulating elements (4) are directly adjacent to each other in axial direction (13) of pipe with their end surfaces (12).
EFFECT: present invention is related to an insulated pipe assembly for pipes conducting fluids having high temperatures, for example 300 °C or even more.
