FIELD: physics; modeling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modeling structures, particularly ship support beams, which mainly work in bending. The structural modeling method involves using basic modeling elements and additional linking elements. Dimensions of areas of the basic modeling elements are changed and additional modeling elements are introduced, where the said altering involves redistribution of areas from similar elements to others, for example between basic modeling elements and/or between basic and additional elements. Elements with complex structure are replaced with simple elements, for example deformed walls of a T-girder - with an even wall, height of a deformed support beam and elements of the cross sectional area of the wall residual to the initial value with area, mainly in form of broken, in particular which approximately describes the profile of the deformed wall.
EFFECT: more convenient modeling process.
