FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection. Contaminated industrial runoffs or edge water are separated into two flows. First flow making 0.75 to 0.90 of total volume of runoffs is fed into preparatory tank 1 to be alkalised to pH of 9 to 11 and, further on, into scrubber 3 until complete evaporation. Absorption of acid components from flue gases fed into scrubber occurs therein. After absorption, water evaporates completely to form solid salts. Then flue gases are directed to further purification ar cyclone-dust separator 5 and low-energy scrubber 6. The latter is showered by circulating solution. To prevent accumulation of solid phase in low-energy scrubber 6, second flow of contaminated runoffs is periodically fed into under-scrubber chamber to be mixed with circulating solution and fed there after into preparatory tank 1.
EFFECT: reduced amount of process water, ruling out discharge of pollutants, recovery of contaminated industrial or edge waters.
